Irene Karas Loeper was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and is the daughter of Andrée Karas, Artistic Director Emerita of United Players Theatre Company. Irene is a professional actress with over 25 years of experience and has trained at Circle in the Square in New York City, Gastown Actors Studio in Vancouver, and the Vancouver Film School. 

 

Irene loves to perform both on the stage and in front of the camera. She was most recently seen theatrically in the world premier musical comedy "Talking Sex on Sunday" playing the role of Sissy. Some of her favourite stage roles include Tanya in "Mamma Mia", Reno in "Anything Goes" Daniella in "In The Heights" and Mrs. Meers in "Thoroughly Modern Millie".  Irene has been nominated for multiple theatre awards and received the Best Lead Actress Ovation Award for her performance in "Anything Goes". Next, she will be seen in front of the camera playing the role of Starla in the Lifetime TV Movie "Spotlight on Christmas". 

Irene is represented by the amazing Elena Kirschner at RED Management.
